Community Leader Scholarships

Catapult’s purpose is to unleash brilliance in people, organisations and communities.  Our vision is to lift the prosperity and well being of all New Zealanders by creating a big leap in leadership capability and confidence.

Four Catapult Community Leaders Scholarships are made available each year.

Applications for 2019 open 15 November 2018 and close 28 February 2019

The 2019 Catapult Community Leaders Scholarship are for four places on our residential leadership programme Catapult Leadership, held quarterly in Martinborough. We are looking for individuals dedicated to addressing social problems.

Applications will be accepted from 15 November 2018 until 28 February 2019. Late submissions will not be considered. Scholarship recipients will pay for their own transport to Wellington if from outside of Wellington. The scholarship covers travel from Wellington to Martinborough, accommodation, meals, tuition, a comprehensive workbook, and follow-up coaching by the programme leader.

Applicants for the Catapult Community Leaders Scholarship should meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated passion and commitment to creating positive social change
  • Grit, courage, and perseverance
  • A minimum of four years of work experience including some leadership and management experience
  • Currently working for a not-for-profit organisation in a role with significant scope to influence social change
